Group Crit 1

Today I participated in my first group crit. We went over the images that we had selected out of our location shoot at the Plantation Gardens and Norwich Cathedral. There was both positive and negative feedback but both very helpful, and not disheartening. At first I felt rude to say something negative about another peers work but eventually we all became confident and said things within a reasonable manner. For example we commented on others work when we felt it was too bright/ dark. Maybe more needed to go on within the image as not enough information was received, and so on. 

When the discussion came round to me, I felt supported and praised within my work that I showed. I received both negative and positive feedback. The negative feedback that I received was mostly due to the fact that I had not met the brief with a couple of my images. As for positive, a couple complimented my images and information pursued. 

The group crits are very helpful and gets the course to talk to one another and discuss different ideas and views. I know I will find these very helpful as I struggle to notice between what is right and wrong with images depending on what they are. These group crits will therefore help me.
