F-Stop magazine Brief: ISSUE #75: Wonder-Full

From the first unit, I have learnt a few things and will certainly make sure I improve on them throughout the rest of my units…
  • Time management: I felt rushed towards the end of the unit. I will make sure that work given will be completed within a deadline that I provide for myself for each brief so that I won’t be rushing and become more organised.
  • Maintaining a high level of motivation: throughout the first unit there was a lack of motivation where I started to not work as hard and use my time elsewhere rather than for shoots. This time I will make the most of my free time shooting and find more locations to shoot at.
  • Learning from your mistakes: I noticed many mistakes within Photoshop editing, analysing and taking photos in general where I haven’t considered everything. These mistakes were obvious so this time round I will double check everything and re-do any mistakes to create the best possible outcome.
I had never heard of photography magazine, F-Stop, & therefore felt that it would help me most to start this brief by looking at what the magazine presents. The images I found were rather fascinating and certainly different from expectations.

The images were very helpful to provide inspiration in the area of ‘wonder’. Even though the images were not photographed to present this idea, as the brief says that we can submit images to the magazine, the styles they present are rather unique and unusual which gives me motivation to go out and shoot something or go somewhere that I find unusual or perhaps something that I wouldn’t usually photograph and experiment.

Here are my two images that show a sense of wonder...
