One-to-one with PALS
I met up with Kirsty today to go through my three projects in my visual logbook and my reflective journal. It was very helpful as she recommended a few extra things that would help boost my grade and amount of work to hand in.
Looking through my work she mentioned photographers that would link with my work, and artists such as Salvador Dali, a surrealist painter. From previous hand-ins Kirsty mentioned that it's also good to look at other influences other than just photographers.
She was very keen about my layout for my visual logbook, and quite liked certain pieces of my work which was great to hear as I was actually not 100% sure about them.
As well as viewing my own work we viewed her previous work for BA1b, revealing what elements I may have missed, such as diagrams of my lighting when working in the studio which I'd never considered before...
The PALS meet up is certainly useful to me as it's helpful to have those who have already 'been there done that' to update me on what I've done well, what I could do better, etc.
Here are some of the notes I made during the one-to-one with Kirsty...
