London Fashion Weekend

An opportunity to shoot at LFWend popped up and instead of 'humming and hawing' I replied for a space and fortunately got it! I've been to fashion events in the past but never a catwalk.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and developed more independence in myself when it came to travelling on my own when I really had no clue where I was going, or where I was. Thank god for the map app on the iPhone!!!!!! The conditions were cramped but it was expected but it proves to be quite tough when photographing at such events. Your space is important when trying to get the right shot.

For the first show I was squashed in the bottom corner, with one persons phone CONSTANTLY in my frame and it was so disappointing. Fortunately I got some of my favourite shots sitting in that squashed condition. The second show I grabbed myself the middle spot behind the camera man but I felt that the shots I was achieving were typical front faced fashion shots in comparison to the lovely angles I got of the models when I was in the far corner.

Overall I learnt a few things, found out a couple of new stuff to play around with on my camera which I hadn't known about before and experienced something for the first time.

Here are a few of my favourites/ best ones from the day...
