Lightbulb! Autumn! ... But where did this idea come from? And what will I do with it?

Initially I'd given it three weeks to find a theme of interest, I found it very difficult which was frustrating as I had so much motivation to get started.

I have my first one-to-one with Katie and she had seen that I'd been photographing to find a starting point but it wasn't working because I had no clue of a theme. Instead she recommended me to find things that interest me and then find a common element and go from there. I done that and luckily found a match of colours and realised there was a link with autumn. With this project being set between September - November I've been fortunate enough with the change of weather, capturing the colour change and events like Halloween, Bonfire Night, etc.

An advert that I'd seen on TV a few weeks later gave me a kick start for not only the three images but also the moving image part of the brief.
