Peer Review
The peer review was much different to what we had to do last year in order to mark each others work, by being sent off in pairs to mark one another. This year we were put into groups to mark more than one students work. Marking students work based on the learning outcome, the most important part of the exercise was what we understood through reviewing the work of our peers rather than the feedback we got.
It was helpful to share thoughts with the group and discuss not only about the peers work but our own with relation to the marking scheme. There was a few things I was unsure about and managed to get them answered during the session.
From the peer review, I took note from some of the peers work that we marked that I thought would be beneficial to my own work, such as the use of mind-maps and other artists/ photographers work that could fit in with my images.
As of development of my own work, I will consider doing/ doing more of:
- iterative research
- mind maps
- historical research
- Photoshop tutorials of how I achieved an edit
- Further artist research
Overall I found the peer review very helpful, and probably preferred working within a group rather than in pairs as we were able to share ideas that perhaps we wouldn't have received if we were to work in pairs.
