Directed Study: Who Are You? - Stuff that interests me

I would like to make the most of this task because it will definitely help me within the next part of year 2 and certainly year 3. It will help to find who I am as a photographer and where I tend to drift when looking for inspiration. After completing the last brief of the previous unit it made me realise that in fact I prefer making work and enjoy the process when I have a personal connection formed with my subject. I'd created work based around my Grandmother and her past/present life and I enjoyed it for many reasons. It definitely gave me more reason to go and visit her because I needed to shoot two or three times, therefore I got the experience out of it. I also liked the subject I chose, fairly dark talking of death and how it affects people but I managed to get a great response for it and was certainly pleased with the feedback and gradings from that.
Therefore I now need to make the most of the time I have remaining at university and with the resources I have available to me make full use of them. I definitely did not put 100% in for BA2a, and I'm now regretting that. I chose to come to university to study photography, therefore I will do that with the best of my efforts.
