Workshop: Technical Advice

For the workshop I brought in my visual logbooks which hold all the images that I have produced for the 3 briefs.
Reviewing other students work was helpful to see what stage they are at and also the diverse range of photographs created by each individual. Some had created their moving image which was helpful in guidance and influence to create my own one.
As I'd mentioned how I'd been struggling to capture a coherent portrait and still life for the first brief Gretchen and other students commented on how I could achieve those last two. I was told to think about the other elements of autumn other than the colours and its nature, like a fire place, etc.
They'd also commented on bringing props like that to the studio such as wooden logs to add to the textures and theme.
We also spoke about work that I had yet to photograph but had planned what I wanted to do. I'd explained what had been said during the previous group crit but more advice was given such as playing around with different textures such as matte or shiny. I needed to consider my depth of field if I was trying to re-create a landscape also.
