Cross Course Collaboration: Instagram presentation
At first I was dreading the five hours they had planned for us. However I am very glad I went as it has made me consider improvements within my personal practice as well as things to consider in future collaborations. Not only that but it was great to see such diverse ideas, and some were very unique to a certain style that people normally produce which was great to see that within a group project.
There's a few things I picked up on during the presentation which I feel would have definitely improved our Instagram feed and presentation of work.
- Logo
A few groups had created a logo. We could have created something very basic to up our game from a professional perspective.
- Instagram Layout
I was in charge of Instagram. When I was uploading components I didn't want to add them in order of completion instead I wanted to mix around the stills, BTS, developments so break it up. When each group presented their Instagram feed some had broken up the feed by blank squares of white or colour. I thought that was an interesting way of breaking things up and separating each element. Also some had managed to split their picture into squares so that the image could be viewed bigger. That was very interesting and for some groups worked really well.
- Titles
During the moving image pieces we watched some had titles and credits throughout. Without testing we wouldn't know whether a title would have fitted in well with the structure of the moving image piece we made but we should have gave this thought and experimented with titles.
