Learning Agreement
I'd completed the learning agreement back in BA2b therefore being asked to write it again to help begin BA3a made it easier. I took from what I had written previously and analysed it... Did I still intend to do that? How will me schedule change? etc.
It actually took me a while to think what I really wanted to do for my third and final year of university. This year is pretty much make or break for me. It's common of me to leave my work until last minute and I regret it each time. I would really like to prove myself in this final year as I want to be certain about my decisions once I leave university whilst I have the help and advantages around me.
James said to think outside of photography by looking into our personal interests that may influence our photographic practice. Here is my list of interests (I forgot to add it in to my learning agreement)...
- Family/Boyfriend/Friends
- Animals
- Social Media: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat
- Documentary Photography
- Weddings/Wedding Photography
- Food/Food Photography
- Landscapes: natural environment
- Portraits
- Music
- Travelling
- Beauty
That is just a small list of what I can think of at the moment. I'm sure as I work through projects over the holidays I will notice more things that interest me.
As much as I enjoy taking photos I'm still unsure whether or not it is photography that I can see myself pursuing a career in. It would be disappointing to find in a couple years time that I did not pursue a career in photography however I do not regret my decision. I have learnt so much within the last 2 years of university than I have the past 4 years of my interest and teachings at college. I believe I will always own a camera or at least a camera phone and forever take pictures as I am completely obsessed with Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook. I love to photograph my family, animals, fashion and more so it will never leave me. However I will not think like that and push myself this year in hope to find direction.
