Self Promotional Package: e-folio
It took me a good few hours to put together my e-folio. As I was searching through folders I couldn't find many images that I felt were to the best of my potential. I managed to pick around 15 images, although there is a set which is more of a triptych. Those 15 images are a mix of work that I've produced for university projects within the last two years. I've also added work that I've completed outside of university for clients.
Putting that e-folio together made me realise that I certainly don't have enough work to show for the amount of time I've now been photographing. I've been interested in photographing since the age of 16/17, and having that interest for 4 years and only finding 15 images that I personally like is actually disappointing. I love taking photos, but I think I'm still struggling to find that area of photography that I enjoy enough to motivate me. I'm constantly taking photos when I'm out and about on my mobile whether it be a plate of food or landscape.
With year 3 only a couple of months away I really need to find myself as a photographer and start taking responsibly and certainly advantages of the teachers and the facilities that are offered to me.
At the same time, the images that I did appreciate enough to place within the e-folio showed me what I can do when I put my mind to it. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the newborn and wedding, as well as some of the projects that I've completed for university. Once I find a starting point and plenty of ways to develop that seems to set me off. If I struggle for ideas and don't find anything inspiring along the way then it takes me twice as long to get started with something.
