Professional Practice Employability Workshops

Todays workshop we used the University's Profile cards to explore the top ten skills identified by employers and how you are developing and will improve these.
First of all we had to think about what we do before a shoot. Mind-mapping them for us then to discuss further in class.
Next using the profile cards we had to place them where we felt was relevant. There were 10 which two we felt worked for everything: resilience and demonstrating a positive attitude. Without these two you wouldn't be able to put a shoot together.
Then, using those 10 cards we had to pick 3 which we felt as a group was most important. We picked handling customers and clients, meeting deadlines and delivering a brief and flexibility and adaptability.
Lastly one person from the group was picked to have the star card. That star card was to represent them, and using the other 10 cards place in order around the star from best to worst in order of how we get on with it during our own practise. This task was really helpful as it shows you what you need to improve on.
