Introduction Overview and library research presentation

In todays session we spoke about the structure of the essay and through each chapter what we would be discussing. 

Introduction should be around 10% of the word count, giving me 500 words roughly to work with. That 10% needs to introduce the structure of my essay by briefly discussing my choice of report and subject matter/ question(s) that I will be investigating. Why is my subject matter important? What gap is there?

Next I need to address my research methods. How will I research? I can visit galleries, read up on interviews. I can also look into other artists work for visual research. The research will be put into primary and secondary research.
What will be discussed in the chapters? Existing research and the research I've made.
Leading on to the analysis and findings. I need to discuss what I hope to find. And lastly the conclusion. Again the conclusion will only need to be 10% of my essay.

Task for week 3:

Using the research skills you have developed this week, investigate and find;

• 5 sources of research material
• At least 3 must be non-visual
• You must bring the Harvard reference as in your bibliography
