Seminar: 10 Point Plan

Last week we were set the task to plan our 10 points for the research report. Todays session we got into mixed groups of reflective, industry and extended essays so that we could get feedback on our plan. I found it really helpful and from these lessons I'm feeling much more confident about starting the essay.
At the beginning of the lesson it was mentioned that we should be describing our references such as images, books, etc but with brief detail. It should also only be spoken about if it's relevant and important to what is going into the essay.
Ross mentioned a couple of practitioners that would help me look into this idea of coping with grief. Matt Finn collaborating with his mother Jean and Celine Marchbank documenting her mothers house after she had passed and wrote about her grief.
When I first turned up with my 10 point plan I only had 9 points as I'd struggled coming up with the 6th one. The people in my group noticed that I mentioned photography being used as therapy but hadn't mentioned it within my plan which I hadn't noticed myself. Therefore that made up another point for my to include. During that chapter for the essay the group spoke about getting in touch with relevant professionals and ask them on their opinion. Another also mentioned how I could get 'sciency' with the report and include information on how the brain responds to art. I could visit exhibitions and galleries and observe/ ask what feelings people experience when looking at the art.
The sessions so far based on the research report have been extremely helpful. At first I had no idea what type of report I wanted to do let alone question/ topic. However now I am certain what type of essay I will be writing (reflective) and I have a confident idea on topic, the question is not there but I know what I will be writing about.
